Town of Palm Beach Alerts and News Releases

Summer Reminders and Alerts

North End Public Parking Announcement

Starting this week through July, new parking signs will be installed in the north end area of Palm Beach as part of a Town Council-approved plan to improve parking. This includes expanding ParkMobile paid parking and updating Residential Parking Permit (RPP) zones, with some areas getting new parking rules. Between Royal Poinciana and Dunbar Road, Residential spots will be reserved 24/7, while ParkMobile paid parking will be enforced daily from 9 AM to midnight. Town residents with white bumper stickers can park for free up to two hours in ParkMobile spaces. Palm Beach Placard Permit holders are not affected by these changes. After the signs have been installed, there will be a one-week warning period before citations start. Please visit the Park In Palm Beach webpage for more details.

Hurricane season started June 1

Living in a beautiful coastal town like Palm Beach comes with unique responsibilities—especially during hurricane season. From flooding near the Intracoastal to strong winds and possible power outages, it’s important to be prepared. Now’s the time to review your emergency plan, stock up on supplies, and make sure your home and family are storm-ready. Not sure where to start? Our Hurricane Preparedness Guide walks you through everything you need to know, step by step. Visit our Hurricane Preparedness Page to learn more. Please visit the hurricane webpage for more information

Fertilizer Application Restrictions June 1-September 30

From June 1 through September 30, fertilizers containing nitrogen or phosphorus may not be applied in the Town of Palm Beach. This seasonal restriction helps protect our local waterways from nutrient runoff that can harm aquatic life and contribute to algae blooms. Golf courses are exempt from the ban. Please visit the Green Initiative and Sustainability page for more information about serving our environment.

Turtle Nesting Season in effect until October 31

From March 1 through October 31, oceanfront property owners must ensure that no artificial light shines onto the beach or water. This includes drawing blinds or curtains at night and shielding or repositioning outdoor lights, so they aren’t visible from the shoreline. These steps help protect nesting sea turtles and their hatchlings—thank you for helping keep Palm Beach turtle-friendly.

E-Bike Safety

With school out and summer underway, the Palm Beach Police Department is reminding residents to be aware of how E-Bikes are being used—especially by children. Increased speeds and limited oversight can create safety concerns. The latest update includes key rules and regulations to help keep everyone safe.

Traffic Impacts

During the summer months, projects including sanitary sewer force main maintenance, drainage system improvements, undergrounding, and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) may impact public roadways and traffic. Please visit the Planned Traffic Impacts page for up-to-date information as schedules shift.
