REMINDER: PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF PEOPLE'S CAMPAIGN/POLITICAL SIGNS

Dear Residents,
The Village of Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department has received complaints regarding the theft/damage of campaign/political signs. I would like to remind residents that campaign/political signs are considered personal property. If posted on private property, only the property owner or those authorized by the property owner may remove a sign.
If the sign is posted on public property, only village personnel in addition to the sign owner or representative may remove the sign.
Please be aware offenders who tamper or remove campaign/political signs may be charged with damage to property or theft.
