Construction of a permanent performance stage in Matthiessen Park will begin this week. The stage will be located in the northern part of the park, beyond the playground and pathway loop. Construction is expected to last approximately 6 months.

During construction, the park will be open. However, visitors to the park should avoid the fenced off area of construction and be aware that there could be deliveries of materials and equipment through the park from time-to-time. Some construction activities will result in the closure of the park for all or a portion of a day. When those closures are scheduled to happen, an announcement will be made on the Village web site and social media.
