CARBONDALE “AT THE TABLE” AND ART FOR HEALING TRAUMA
CARBONDALE -
The City of Carbondale warmly invites community members to attend the next “At the Table” Dinner & Dialogue event on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the Carbondale Civic Center.
This month’s event will celebrate the impactful work of community ambassadors from the Dancing in the Well: Art for Healing Trauma Retreat, held in November. The four-day retreat focused on raising awareness about the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) and taught participants how trauma-informed art practices can promote healing and resilience.
The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 5:30 PM. The Dinner, Dialogue and Art will begin at 6:00 PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about trauma-informed art practices firsthand through demonstrations and discussions led by ACE Awareness Ambassadors, all while enjoying a community meal.
Seating is limited, and registration is encouraged. To register, please click here. For additional information, please contact Dianah McGreehan at dmcgreehan@carbondaleil.gov or 618-457-3282.
