City of Gulf Shores Announces Sand, Songs, & Cinema Dates
Residents and guests are invited to Gulf Place for FREE concerts and movies on Tuesday, June 3, and Tuesday, July 22! Concerts begin at 6:30, and the movies start immediately after at 7:30. Bring your family, friends, blankets, and lawn chairs to enjoy free concerts and movies at the beach!
The 2025 Sand, Songs, & Cinema events will consist of:
June 3 – Lee Yankie & Moana 2
Lee has been playing in the local area and all over the country for 20 years, and his sound is a collection of influences that comes out as the sound of the guild coast. You can expect southern sounds reminiscent of the Allman Brothers, Wet Willie, and the Marshall Tucker Band. As well as the beach influence stretching down to the Caribbean, with plenty of Reggae. He’s also been in the popular New Orleans band, the Honey Island Swamp Band, for 6 years, so the NOLA musical influence is in there too! Lee also plays plenty of blues, soul, classic rock, and even a little country to the mix.
July 22 – Jesse Taylor Perry & Shark Tale
Baldwin County Native Singer/Songwriter/Musician Jesse Taylor Perry is known for his wide appeal to audiences of all ages, soulful sound, and wicked guitar playing. He is a student of all musicians and genres and enjoys bringing people together with his music, leaving you on the edge of your seat to see what he will be playing next.
The Lions Club will be set up at each event for those wishing to purchase food and beverages!
