FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: CITY WELCOMES NEW CITY CLERK, ADRIANA CARPIO-SOLIS.
Casa Grande, AZ –The City of Casa Grande is thrilled to welcome Adriana Carpio-Solis as the new City Clerk. She will begin her role on March 28, training alongside current City Clerk Gloria Leija, who is retiring after a distinguished career in municipal service. Adriana will officially step into the position on April 7.
The City Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring transparency and efficiency in city governance. Adriana’s responsibilities will include providing notice for all City Council, Boards and Commissions meetings, maintaining official records such as ordinances and resolutions, Passport issuance, Elections facilitations, and fulfilling duties as required by the City Charter and law.
The selection process for this position was conducted through a national recruitment following the retirement announcement of longtime City Clerk Gloria Leija. After an extensive search and interview process that included five finalists, Adriana was selected to take on this critical role.
Adriana brings a wealth of experience to the position, having served as Deputy City Clerk for the City of Maricopa since 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Los Angeles, and has earned multiple certifications, including Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC), Certified Municipal Election Official, Certified State of Arizona Election Official, and Passport Acceptance Agent/Manager.
“We are excited to welcome Adriana to Casa Grande and look forward to her leadership in the City Clerk’s Office,” said City Manager, Larry Rains. “Her extensive experience and commitment to municipal service make her an excellent fit for this position.”
As Casa Grande prepares to transition leadership in the City Clerk’s Office, the city also extends its deepest gratitude to Gloria Leija, who has served as a City Clerk for an impressive 35 years, including 27 years in Casa Grande. Gloria has been a dedicated public servant, ensuring the city’s operations ran smoothly and efficiently. We wish her all the best in her well-earned retirement.
