FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: NOTICE #2: CITY OF CASA GRANDE ANNOUNCES TRAFFIC DELAYS ON PINAL AVENUE DUE TO SEWER RELIEF PROJECT.

As a reminder, beginning on Monday, March 31st, and lasting for approximately two months, contractors for the City of Casa Grande will initiate jack and bore operations under Pinal Avenue as the final phase of the Kortsen Road Sewer Relief Project. 

Contractors will mobilize at the intersection of Highway 387 (Pinal Avenue) and Kortsen Road to start the jack and bore operations. Motorists should expect traffic delays in the area, including lane reductions and restricted left turns throughout the duration. Motorists are asked to drive slowly in the cone zone and adhere to traffic control devices, as crews will be working on the roadway and along the shoulder. 

The $8.7 million Kortsen Road Sewer Relief Project spans approximately 4.6 miles. It will originate at the Henness Road alignment, navigate along the Kortsen Road alignment, and end at the City's Water Reclamation Facility (WRF). This project will add approximately 9 million gallons per day (MGD) of sewer capacity to address the demand for increased sewer capacity needed to sustain the city’s growth.
