FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: CASA GRANDE ARTS & CULTURE COMMISSION INVITES LOCAL ARTISTS TO APPLY FOR THE 2025 UTILITY ART BOX PROJECT-PHASE IV.
The Casa Grande Arts & Culture Commission is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for local artists to showcase their creativity in the 2025 Utility Box Art Project – Phase IV. This initiative invites artists to contribute their unique designs to enhance our city’s streetscapes by transforming utility boxes, often targeted by graffiti, into engaging public art pieces.
Selected artists will bring color and character to City-owned and APS utility boxes, creating artworks that foster a safe, inclusive, and captivating environment for Casa Grande residents and visitors. These eye-catching pieces will serve as expressions of community pride and add visual interest across the city.
The chosen artists will receive a $500 stipend to support their work, with $250 awarded at the start and $250 upon project completion. Additionally, a People’s Choice Award of $500 will be presented, adding a touch of friendly competition and community engagement to the project.
How to Apply:
Request for Proposals are now open. Artists interested in participating should submit their applications by November 15, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. and include their artist biography, application, and proposed box design template.
