FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: INTERSECTION OF PEART ROAD AND KORTSEN ROAD TO UNDERGO IMPROVEMENTS (06/20).

CASA GRANDE, AZ - [June 20, 2024] - Contractors for the City of Casa Grande will begin roadway improvements at the intersection of Kortsen Road and Peart Road as part of the city’s Rapid Response Program. This program designates Capital Improvement Funds to expedite roadway improvement projects in areas that are experiencing growth.

Construction Impacts

The project, slated to run from June 20th to July 23rd, will increase the length of the left-hand turn lanes on Peart Road that will minimize driver wait times at the signal. Additionally, a right-hand turn lane for traffic on Kortsen Road, proceeding northbound on Peart Road, will be installed. Impacts include lane reductions on Peart Road to allow crews to remove and restore curb and asphalt in the roadway.

Financial Investment

This critical infrastructure project, with a financial investment of $484,000 was approved as part of the City's Capital Improvement Program (CIP), underscoring Casa Grande's commitment to advancing its infrastructure to meet the needs of its growing community. 

Motorists are asked to drive slowly in the cone zone and mind the traffic control devices as crews will be working on the roadway and along the shoulder.
