Santa Rosa Police Department Checkpoint Results

Santa Rosa, Calif. – On Friday April 18, 2025, 3 drivers were arrested for DUI.

The DUI checkpoint was held at Piner Road and Coffee Lane from 8:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m.

15 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed and 3 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended/revoked license, 909 vehicles were contacted, and 10 drivers were evaluated for DUI. Additionally, one driver was arrested for possession of narcotics and one driver was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.

Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
