Santa Rosa Police Arrest Five For DUI

Santa Rosa, Calif. – On Friday November 16, 2024, 5 drivers were arrested for DUI.

The DUI checkpoint was held at Piner Road and Coffey Lane from 8:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m.

drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed and 1 driver was cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended/revoked license, 871 vehicles were contacted, and 10 drivers were evaluated for DUI. 1 driver was cited for a drug paraphernalia and violation of probation terms.


DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints are to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.

Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
