Woman Stabbed to Death on the Prince Memorial Greenway

On Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 11:02 p.m., Santa Rosa Police Officers responded to the Prince Memorial Greenway for an unresponsive female down on the ground. When they arrived, officers located the victim on the Prince Memorial Greenway, between Santa Rosa Avenue and A Street. The victim was unresponsive and suffering from at least one stab wound. The victim did not survive the injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim was identified as a 61-year-old resident of Santa Rosa. Her identity will be released following the notification of her next of kin.

SRPD’s Violent Crimes Investigation Team responded and took over the investigation while Field and Evidence Technicians processed the scene. This investigation is still ongoing, and no arrests have been made. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement and Safety Rewards Fund.  The reward is for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects involved in this homicide.
