...HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR EAST FACING SHORES OF KAUAI OAHU MOLOKAI MAUI AND BIG ISLAND THROUGH MONDAY... ...COASTAL FLOOD STATEMENT IN EFFECT FOR ALL HAWAIIAN ISLANDS THROUGH MONDAY MORNING... .Large surf along east facing shores will continue to remain rough and choppy in response to strong trade winds over and upstream of the Hawaiian Islands. Peak monthly tides, in tandem with higher east shore water levels, will produce minor coastal flooding typical in more vulnerable, low lying areas during the pre-dawn high tides.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM HST MONDAY...
...COASTAL FLOOD STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...For the High Surf Advisory, 8 to 12 feet surf tonight and
7 to 10 feet Monday along east facing shores. For the Coastal
Flood Statement, a combination of high east surf and elevated
water levels that could produce nuisance coastal flooding.

* WHERE...Eastern exposures and low lying coastal areas in
Kauai, Maui, Molokai, Oahu and Big Island.

* WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 6 PM HST Monday. For
the Coastal Flood Statement, through Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of beaches that are normally dry, minor
coastal erosion, and saltwater inundation. Moderate. Strong
breaking waves and strong currents will make swimming
dangerous.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Avoid driving through flooded roadways. If you are forced to
drive through salt water, be sure to rinse your vehicle with
fresh water. Move electronics, vehicles or other valuables to
higher ground. Monitor vessels to ensure mooring lines don't get
too tight and watch out for overwash around boat ramps. Secure
canoes or other watercraft stowed on beaches.

Heed all advice from ocean safety officials. When in doubt, don't
go out.
