The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from Friday morning through Friday afternoon.
* AFFECTED AREA...Leeward portions of all Hawaiian Islands.
* TIMING...From Friday morning through Friday afternoon.
* WINDS...Northeast to east 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 40 to 50 percent.
* IMPACTS...A combination of strong winds, low relative
humidity, and dry fuels can contribute to extreme fire
behavior.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Should a Red Flag warning be issued, outdoor burning is not
recommended.
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.
