Boil water advisory lifted for areas South of Highway 11-E; Tank holding at 27 feet
The Jonesborough Utility System can now lift the boil water advisory for all areas South of Highway 11-E. This is the same side of Highway 11-E as West View School and Washington College Academy. This is the area that had water restored Friday, Dec. 30. Samples taken after the system restart indicate no restrictions on drinking water supplied by the Town of Jonesborough Utility System.
The boil water advisory is still in effect for those who regained water service Saturday, Dec. 31. This encompasses areas North of Highway 11-E. The north side of 11-E is Bowmantown, Fall Branch and areas on the same side of 11-E as Troyer’s. The department will let customers know when that boil water advisory is lifted.
Tank levels are currently at 27 feet, therefore we do continue to ask customers to conserve water and report any leaks they see in roadways and ditches.
If a customer is experiencing issues or observes any leaks, they can call 753-1005 for assistance.
