City of Kirksville celebrates National Police Week

(Kirksville, MO) - The City of Kirksville celebrates National Police Week from May 11 to May 17, 2025.

There are more than 800,000 law enforcement officers serving in communities across the United States, including the dedicated members of the Kirksville Police Department. Officers of the Kirksville Police Department play an essential role in safeguarding the rights and freedoms of all individuals who enter our community.

It is important that all citizens know and understand the duties, responsibilities, hazards, and sacrifices of their law enforcement agency, and that members of our law enforcement agency recognize their duty to serve the people by safeguarding life and property, by protecting them against violence and disorder, and by protecting the innocent against deception and the weak against oppression.
