AUG 13: Saturday Night Balloon Glow, 

5k Race & Drone Light Show

The Glow

That night, the action shifts to the Sandy Promenade (grassy area between city hall and the mall) for ‘The Glow,’ which runs from 7 to 11 p.m. The event includes food trucks, a live DJ, ‘Glow and Arrow,’ and inflatable rides. 

3rd Annual Balloon Fest 5k

At 9 p.m. the Balloon Fest 5k will begin. (The start/finish line is at ‘The Glow’ so racers can easily enjoy the festivities before and after the race. This year has a new route that winds through the heart of Sandy’s downtown area, highlighted by a run through Rio Tinto Stadium. There are a ton of prizes up for grabs for several different age groups.

Drone Light Show

Thanks to the support of some fantastic local sponsors, we've added a last-minute event to this week's Balloon Fest: an aerial drone light show! Over 100 drones will launch into the air above city hall and create moving images with flashing colors and synchronized music. It's going to be an awesome show that you won't want to miss.
