Greetings Crossing Guards,

My apologies for the late notice. I have been closely watching the online weather reporting, which has been changing on an hourly basis. It now appears that the majority of the rainfall for this atmospheric river will be right on top of your minimum day schedule, making for a great deal of rain and strong winds.

During these type of weather conditions it is often the case that there will be very few school-based pedestrians using the crosswalks around the schools this afternoon. As such I am offering the afternoon off for those who would like to get a jump on the holiday week and remain dry in the process. This time off will be paid based on hazardous weather conditions.
