Announcing: Draper Jam at the Draper Amphitheater on Friday, May 10, featuring high school PTSA band winners from across the Wasatch Front. Gates open at 6:00 PM. The show begins at 6:30 PM. This event is FREE. Come watch and cheer. This is a great opportunity to support local musicians. The event is designed to be a fun opportunity for teenagers to hang out in a safe environment. All ages are welcome.

The following bands are scheduled to appear:
Bleacher Babe - West Jordan 
Groove Syndicate - Riverton
Lake Effect - Farmington 
Manifold – Herriman
Moon Juice - Corner Canyon HS
Riff Wood - Centennial HS




The application period for the Draper Mayor’s Youth Council for students in grades 9-12 for 2024-25 closes at midnight on May 1. Applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview if their application is accepted.

A mandatory parent/student night is offered TOMORROW Wednesday, April 24 OR Tuesday, April 30 at Draper City Hall from 6:00 - 7:15 PM. Attendance is only required one of these evenings.

This Friday! 
The Draper City Tree Committee will host an Arbor Day program and community tree-planting event on Friday, April 26 from 10 AM – 11:30 AM at Pheasant Meadows Park.


Program:
  • Reading of the Arbor Day national proclamation
  • Poem reading
  • Remarks from the Tree Committee and officials
  • Planting of new trees at the park
All who are interested in participating are welcome.

Responsibly dispose of prescription and over-the-counter medications at Draper Police Department's annual drug take-back event, Saturday, April 27 from 10 AM - 2 PM, in the parking lot at Walmart, 1360 Draper Parkway

Entries from the Draper Visual Arts Foundation’s Art Scholar Competition for high school students will be on display in the foyer of Draper City Hall through April 29 for the public to enjoy during business hours – Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.


On Monday, April 29, an Artists’ Reception will be held at Draper City Hall at 6:00 PM and an Awards Ceremony will follow at 7:00 PM in the City Council Room. The public is invited to attend.




This Saturday! 
Draper Arts Council invites you to come join the cast of Broadway Family Favorites! Auditions will be held on April 27 at American Preparatory Academy, Campus 3 in the upstairs dance and choir rooms. All ages are encouraged to come prepared to sing a verse and chorus. An accompanist will be provided. (Minus tracks from your device are acceptable.)

Draper Arts Council invites teens ages 13 - 18 to audition on May 3 and 4 for a fun and upbeat adaptation of the hit film and award-winning Broadway musical Legally Blonde at the Draper Amphitheater.

Draper City’s free 
Cinco de Mayo Festival will be held on Saturday, May 4 from 6 – 8 PM at Draper City Park.




Save-the-Date! Draper City and our community partners will hold an unveiling and dedication ceremony for the new Gold Star Families Memorial Monument at Draper City Park on Saturday, May 18 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.


Gold Star Families Memorial Monuments honor the families of active military members who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. We invite you to attend and bring the whole family to honor these families.

If you are a Gold Star Family member living in Draper, please contact us so we can recognize you at the ceremony.




Get registered for the Tiny Tot Triathlon - taking place on Saturday, June 15! Select a start time between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM. Don’t wait, this event fills up. Children ages 2 - 9 years old will bike, run, and go down an inflatable water slide on their way to the finish line. This is a recreational, not competitive event, which encourages young children to get out and get active. Everyone who crosses the finish line receives a medal. Fun foam area to play in after the finish line. Register below!
