City of Wheaton, IL
Thomas Road Drainage Improvement Project Begins This Week

As part of the City's continued commitment to enhance infrastructure in our community, the City’s Public Works Department will begin working the week of April 14 on a project to replace storm sewers on portions of Thomas Road and Summit Street in northeast Wheaton.
This work area will include Thomas Road from President Street to Summit Street, followed by Summit Street from Thomas Road to Wendover Lane. (See the map below of the affected area.) This project will include installing approximately 2,000 feet of new 12-inch storm sewer and replacing related storm structures. Work is expected to last through the summer and will improve drainage within the right-of-way.
The City is providing further information to residents who will be directly affected by this work.
We appreciate your patience as the City works to complete these important infrastructure improvements.
