Safety Alert - Leaf Collection
The Township curbside leaf collection began on November 4, 2024.
As a reminder, leaves left in the roadway will not be collected. Leaves must be bagged in biodegradable bags and placed at the curb or pavement edge for collection. The biodegradable bags shall not exceed fifty (50) pounds in weight, be neatly placed untied at the curb, and be separated from solid waste and recycling containers by a minimum of a foot (12 inches) distance.
Beginning tomorrow, strict enforcement will be taken for leaves found to be placed in the roadway, which constitute a traffic hazard. It is important to understand that leaves left in the roadway result in narrowing roads and make it difficult for cars to pass safely.
We ask that everyone assist in making sure we keep our roadways safe.
