Happy November, Youth Council!

As 2024 is wrapping up, it is a great time to start thinking about how you can earn your 15 hours of community service. Check out the list to see all the fun Youth Council activities going on this month!

**REMINDER: You MUST wear your green Youth Council shirts to volunteer events. Failure to do so may result in you receiving a No Show for that event. If you need an extra Youth Council shirt, we have plenty! Stop by the Recreation Office (334 Dunhams Corner Road) Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. Thank you.**

Looking ahead to December:

• Winter Wonderland is on December 7th, and we need volunteers! Check out Volunteer Matrix on November 17th at 5pm for the available shifts.

• Earn 2 hours at our Winter General Meeting on December 15th from 5-7pm at the Community Arts Center (721 Cranbury Road).

Social:

• Board Game Night is happening Friday, November 8th at the Youth Center! Play games, enjoy snacks, hangout with friends, and make new friends! No volunteer hours are given for social events.

Fundraiser:

• Red Robin Dine to Donate is happening Wednesday, November 27th at the Red Robin in Brunswick Square Mall! Dine anytime at Red Robin on 11/27, and a percentage of the proceeds go back to East Brunswick Youth Council. Make sure you follow the instructions on the flier to have your purchase counted. Email Youth Council (ebyouthcouncil@eastbrunswick.org) a picture of your receipt (showing the date of November 27th) and your name and you will earn 2 hours of service for participating. Click Here for Flier

• Youth Council takes the Mental Health of our members very seriously, and we want to do everything in our power to better the mental health of our young people. Our staff have taken the training classes to provide Teen Mental Health First Aid for free to all our Youth Council members in grades 9-12. If you are interested in receiving Teen Mental Health First Aid, please sign up on Volunteer Matrix. Our next training starts on December 2.

• New Events will be released in bulk on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month at 5pm! The next big event drop is Sunday, November 3! We do recommend that you still regularly check Volunteer Matrix, because you never know when a surprise event may appear...
