On Friday January 14, 2022, Assumption Parish Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness will be handing out BinaxNOW COVID-19 Antigen Self Test Kits at the Assumption Parish Community Cente
- A rapid antigen self-test to detect both asymptomatic and symptomatic COVID-19.
- Identical to our existing professional test that has been used nationwide since August 2020, bringing proven performance to the shelves.
- The test for is for self-use when people test themselves twice within three days, with 36 hours between the two tests.
- The test will be simple, even for people who have never tested themselves. All needed materials (including a nasal swab and easy-to-follow instructions) will be included in the box.
- The test uses the minimally invasive, more comfortable nasal swab (not the deep nasopharyngeal swab that may cause people to sneeze).
On Friday January 14, 2022, Assumption Parish Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness will be handing out BinaxNOW COVID-19 Antigen Self Test Kits at the Assumption Parish Community Center's front parking lot located at 4910 Hwy. 308 in Napoleonville. This event will start at 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning and will last until all tests are given out. Please note the Parish has a very limited supply of these tests kits so each vehicle will be given one kit that has 2 tests included.
