Con Ed Gas Main Construction on Weaver Street
Con Ed will be replacing gas mains on Weaver Street between Murray Avenue and Bonnie Way. New pipes will provide safer and more reliable gas delivery with fewer leaks and other problems that may cause an interruption in service.
Posillico Civil is the company Con Ed has contracted for this project. Work will begin at the intersection of Weaver Street and Murray Ave and progress northbound on Weaver to the intersection at Bonnie Way. Supplies and equipment will be stored in various locations in proximity to the work zone.
Construction will take place during the day between 8 AM – 6 PM, and will have the impact of temporary lane closures, traffic delays, and noise. Con Ed currently anticipates the work will take approximately 4 months to complete.
At times, gas service may need to be temporarily interrupted. Customers will be notified of all service interruptions in advance. To restore gas service, Con Edison will require access to your home and will reach out to schedule a time that is convenient for you.
In certain areas, it may be necessary for crews to excavate sidewalks, driveways, or lawns located on private property. If your property is affected, Con Ed will restore it. For questions about the upcoming work or concerns about private facilities buried in your lawn, such as sprinkler lines or electric dog fences, please email CustomerQuestions@coned.com. Please note: There is usually a delay between the end of the project and the final landscaping or paving restoration.
