ADVISORY - Hawaii DCR Alert - Inmate leaves Laumaka Work Furlough Center Unauthorized
HONOLULU — Inmate Rory Sitani left the Laumaka Work Furlough Center at approximately 11 a.m. today, Aug. 5, 2024. He was not authorized to leave.
The State Sheriffs and Honolulu Police Department (HPD) were immediately notified of the unauthorized exit.
Sitani is 39 years old. He is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 290 pounds. Sitani has brown eyes and black hair but sometimes shaves his head.
He is serving time for first-degree criminal property damage and burglary. He faces an additional escape charge when found.
Sitani is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program. Community custody is the lowest classification status.
Anyone with information on Sitani’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or State Sheriffs at 808-587-1352.
