ADVISORY - Hawaii DCR Alert - Search underway for missing Laumaka work furlough inmate

Work furlough inmate Keenan Acia was reported missing from the Laumaka Work Furlough Center after he failed to return to the facility on Monday, March 25, 2024.

Acia, 28, left Laumaka at 8 a.m. Monday on a job-seeking pass and was reported missing after he failed to return by 2:30 p.m. State Sheriffs were immediately notified.

Acia is serving time for first-degree burglary and unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.

He is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and approximately 147 pounds with a medium build. Acia also has brown eyes and brown hair.

Acia is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program with pass privileges. Community custody is the lowest classification status.

Laumaka is a minimum-security work furlough center with community custody inmates. Inmates assigned to Laumaka are either actively seeking employment or working in the community.
