The San Juan County/Town of Friday Harbor Department of Emergency Management is able to send emergency alerts via text message to cell phones and email. In some extremely urgent situations, calls may be placed to land line phones as well. While we can send messages to cell phones and land lines that have not signed up, your likelihood of being notified is greatly increased if you enroll using the link below.
The system is intended to be used for emergencies only. You are also given the option below to sign up for non-emergency weather alerts. This list will not be shared in any way and will not be used for routine information. You will have the ability to opt out at any time.
Please provide your address and preferred method(s) of contact. Adding your address will allow us to better target our messaging at specific geographic areas.
These alerts are provided free of charge, however standard text messaging rates and other charges from your provider may apply.
