San Luis Obispo Alerts
Sign up to receive important information and severe weather alerts that could directly impact you and your family.
San Luis Obispo County (in partnership with the seven cities in the county) is able to send you important information alerts via text message, email, pager, or voice call (in extreme cases), based on your preferences. It is important that we collect this contact information because many households no longer utilize traditional land-based telephone
lines.
This service, powered by AlertSense, allows the County to issue alerts to inform citizens of events such as severe weather, large planned power outages, highway closures, 911 outages, public health alerts and other important community information.
Sign up today and select the types of notifications that you would like to receive. If you want to receive all alerts, select “All Non-Weather Related Alerts” and “All Severe Weather Alerts.” You can also select specific types of alerts instead. You will automatically receive the types of alerts selected that are sent out within your city by default but if you want to receive alerts for other areas you may select multiple locations.
Be sure to enter your physical address and zip code to receive the alerts that directly impact the area in which you live or work. Emergency voice alerts sent from the County will come through with the following CallerID displayed: (833) 419-3463.
These alerts are provided free of charge, however standard text messaging rates and other charges may apply.
