Watermain Alert Update: Precautionary Boil Water Notice

The City of West Palm Beach, which provides water service to the Town,  has issued a precautionary boil water notice for residents and establishments in the affected area following an 8-inch water main break.

The City's notice identifies 48 properties within the affected area. The notice applies to portions of:
  • N. Lake Way
  • Via Tortuga
  • Via Las Brisas
  • Maddock
  • Las Costa Way
  • Tangier
The City advises affected residents not to use tap water for drinking, brushing teeth, cooking, making ice, or washing dishes until a rescission notice is issued. Tap water may be used for bathing, showering, and washing clothes.

For activities requiring potable water, use bottled water or water that has been brought to a rolling boil for one minute.

The precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the issue has been corrected and testing confirms that the water is safe to drink. Once the City issues a rescission notice, residents should run their water for 5–10 minutes before resuming normal use.
