Daylight-Savings Time begins on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 2:00 am
  • As the Town prepares to “spring forward” with the start of Daylight-Saving Time on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 2:00 a.m., the Palm Beach Fire-Rescue Department reminds residents to test their smoke alarms and review their home fire escape plans in addition to adjusting their clocks. The number one reason smoke detectors fail during a fire is a disconnected or dead battery. While most new alarms now include 10-year lithium batteries, this is the perfect time to check the expiration date and press the test button to ensure yours works correctly. A few fire safety facts: Three out of five fire deaths occur in homes without smoke or non-working alarms; Thirty-eight percent of home fire deaths happen in homes with no alarms at all; and having a working smoke alarm cuts your risk of dying in a home fire by half. Residents are encouraged to test smoke alarms monthly and use the opportunity to practice their home fire escape plan with family members. While many homes already use long-life lithium alarms, Fire-Rescue encourages everyone to stay proactive by checking expiration dates and replacing outdated units. To request Palm Beach Fire Rescue to review your fire escape plan, please call (561) 838-5420 or visit www.townofpalmbeach.com/firerescue to learn more.
  • The Town's guarded beach hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please swim only in designated areas and heed lifeguards' safety guidance.
The Town election will take place on March 10, 2026. The Town has three polling locations:  For additional voting information and to find your precinct location online, visit VotePalmBeach.gov.
