Traffic Impacts: December 12-15, 2025
The Town of Palm Beach is advising residents of expected traffic delays and lane closures this weekend due to the U.S. Polo Association Marathon events taking place in the City of West Palm Beach.
Motorists are encouraged to use the Southern Boulevard Bridge as an alternative route. Emergency vehicles will still be able to cross both bridges if necessary. Please share this information with anyone traveling to or from the island this weekend and plan for delays.
Friday, December 12

Beginning Friday, Flagler Drive will be closed between Banyan Boulevard and Lakeview Avenue until Monday, December 15, at 7:00 am
Saturday, December 13
5K and 10K races: 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Road Closures (beginning 6:00 a.m., rolling openings at 9:15 a.m.):

South Flagler Drive is closed between Lakeview Boulevard and Southern Boulevard.

Washington Road is closed between Avila Road and Southern Boulevard.
Impacts: Minimal to no delays at bridges; possible congestion in downtown West Palm Beach.
Sunday, December 14
Half & Full Marathons: 6:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Road Closures (4:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.):

North & South Flagler Drive is closed from 59th Street to Southern Boulevard.

Washington Road is closed from Avila Road to Southern Boulevard.

Greenwood Road to Roosevelt Place closed between Flagler Drive and Vincent Road.
Bridge Impacts:

Traffic lane closures at the Royal Park (Middle) Bridge and Flagler (North) Bridge beginning at 5:30 a.m.
Reopening: Roads will reopen on a rolling basis beginning around 12:00 p.m.
