Due to extensive damage on Quaker Road, the roadway is closed to through traffic between Hunts Place and Marcourt Drive. Con Edison crews are onsite to install multiple utility poles prior to replacing the damaged power lines and transformers. At a minimum, repair work is expected to continue through late Friday evening.

Electrical service has been restored, though residents in the area may experience future outages as the work is completed. 

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes whenever possible.
