From the Mayor's Desk...Rocktoberfest Edition!

9/18/2024 - 1:30 PM
I’m excited to invite you to a much anticipated event — Rocktoberfest, our very own outdoor music festival! Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 28th, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and get ready for an unforgettable day filled with great music, food, drink, fun, and community spirit. The cost for individual admission is $10 and families with children 14 and over is $25. There is no admission charge for children under 14.

Rocktoberfest will take place in Matthiessen Park in Irvington, and it’s the perfect opportunity for all of us to come together, enjoy some amazing live musical performances, and celebrate the end of summer in style. Whether you’re a music enthusiast or just looking for a fun day out with family and friends, this event has something for everyone.

There will be a fantastic lineup of local bands, delicious food from great vendors, beer, wine and seltzer, and activities for all ages. We also plan to have on display in the park the Irvington Bulldog Gallery, each of which is available for purchase through an online auction until October 6. So bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and your best dancing shoes. I can’t wait to see the community come alive with the energy and joy that only music can bring.

Also, we are still welcoming volunteers to help make this event a success. If you are willing to lend a hand that day, please reach out to Mike Dinardo in Irvington’s Recreation and Parks Department.

As always, these events are successful because of support from our community. I am proud of the way Irvington comes together to make our Village a vibrant and welcoming place and Rocktoberfest is a shining example.

Thank you for being part of what makes our village so great, and I hope to see you at Rocktoberfest!
