Carbondale Police Press Release - Home Invasion

CARBONDALE –On July 22, 2025, at 6:03 p.m., City of Carbondale Police Officers responded to the 3100 block of West Sunset Street for a Home Invasion. Officers learned the suspect forced their way inside the residence and battered the victim when the victim answered the door. The victim received minor injuries as a result of the suspect’s attack, but declined medical attention. The suspect refused to identify herself and battered officers when they arrested her. Officers identified the suspect as Jazlen C. Bolden, 26 of Springfield, IL. Officers arrested Bolden for charges of Home Invasion, Battery, Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer, Resisting a Peace Officer, and Obstructing Identification. Bolden was incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail pending a detention hearing. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the police department at the numbers listed below.
