Statement on Occurrence After City Council Meeting on 1/14/25

CARBONDALE -


On 01-14-24 at approximately 9:05 p.m. at the conclusion of the Carbondale City Council executive session meeting, City of Carbondale police officers and City of Carbondale staff members intervened in a verbal situation involving two city council members and members of the public.   No injuries were reported by any of the involved parties.  The Carbondale Police Department is investigating the matter and the investigation is currently active and ongoing.  The results of the investigation will be referred to the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.
