Reminder of Bus and Bike Routes as Veo E-Scooters are put away for the Winter

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CARBONDALE -

Since Veo scooters have already begun hibernating for the winter we wanted to remind citizens of other transportation opportunities they can take advantage of at this time.

JAX Mass Transit (formerly known as Jackson County Mass Transit) has several bus routes that run through Carbondale, 7 days a week, all year round, with fare rates of $2. For exact routes and info on how to ride, visit their website here: https://ridejax.com/services/routes/

Carbondale has a wide, diverse infrastructure of bike routes throughout the City that is continuously growing. We are also lucky to have a few locally owned bike shops. Although biking can be a challenge at times through the winter, we are fortunate to have many days here in Carbondale where it is still a viable mode of transportation throughout the Winter season. For more info on our bike routes and maps, please visit our website here: https://www.explorecarbondale.com/712/Bike-Carbondale-IL

We will keep community members posted on the return date Veo scooters in Carbondale and SIU campus in the early Spring.

For more information contact Public Relations Officer Eva Fisher at 618-713-0711.

“Carbondale prides itself on providing its visitors, students, businesses and residents with a unique mix of edge and ease. It’s a cultural town, yet free of pretense, embracing the great outdoors as readily as urban sophistication. Here, we are open to new ideas, experiences and cultures, so you are encouraged to both express yourself and be yourself, in all ways. That’s Carbondale…All Ways Open…for family, fun, business, new ideas and a bright tomorrow.”
