Carbondale Police Press Release - Update Civic Alert on July 6th

CARBONDALE – On July 6, 2024 at 8:18 a.m., City of Carbondale police officers responded to the 700 block of South Rawlings Street regarding a report of a man with a gun. A message about the incident was made to subscribers in the Civic Alert warning system. Officers located individuals engaged in a personal dispute. It was determined that the report of a gun was unfounded. The parties were separated and no arrests have resulted from the investigation at this time.
