CARBONDALE – The Carbondale Police Department continues to rely on the community to solve crimes and keep Carbondale a safe place. One way the community can help is by utilizing the Crime Stoppers phone line to report information about suspicious or criminal activity in Carbondale. Calls to Crime Stoppers have resulted in many arrests in Carbondale over the years, and many people have been rewarded with cash and a safer community for their help!

A call to Crime Stoppers is completely anonymous, unless the caller chooses to identify themselves. Callers will be given a unique code to identify them in future calls since no names, addresses, or phone numbers of the callers are taken. The caller will need the unique number to call back to inquire about their tip, relay new information, or confirm the cash reward which can be up to $1,000.00, depending on the type of crime and the outcome of the investigation

Another way to anonymously report crimes in Carbondale is to visit the Forms Center on the City’s web page (explorecarbondale.com) and complete an online Crimestopper Tip form. Once a form is submitted the caller is asked to call back on the Crimestopper phone line to assign them a unique tip number. A link to the form can be found here:
