Carbondale Police Press Release - Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon

CARBONDALE – On November 23, 2023 at 4:58 p.m. City of Carbondale police officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of East Sycamore Street regarding a disturbance. During the course of the investigation, officers learned Larry M. Williams, age 40 of Carbondale, pointed a firearm at, and threatened to harm the victim during a personal dispute. Officers recovered the firearm and arrested Williams for Unlawful Use or Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and incarcerated him in the Jackson County Jail. There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident. The investigation into the incident is active and on-going
