Carbondale Boat Launch at Cedar Lake Closed Monday, October 19 for Resurfacing

CARBONDALE -
The City of Carbondale would like to let the public know that the Carbondale Boat Launch at Cedar Lake (end of Cedar Creek Road) will be closed all day on Monday, October 19, 2026, for scheduled resurfacing work.
During the closure, the Pomona Boat Launch (at the end of Boat Dock Road, south of Murphysboro) will remain open and available for public use.
Visitors are encouraged to plan accordingly and use the Pomona access point on October 19. Regular operations at the Carbondale Boat Launch are expected to resume on Tuesday, October 20, weather and work progress permitting.
