Fire Prevention Week Open House

The Carbondale Fire Department will host an Open House on Saturday, October 10, at Fire Station #2, located at 401 N. Glenview Drive, from 10 a.m. to noon.

This is an opportunity for the community to tour the fire station, meet firefighters, learn more about department services, and ask questions. In addition, watch live vehicle extrication demonstrations at 10:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., as well as fire safety house tours. There will also be activities for kids, including a special appearance by the Fire Department’s mascot Sparky.

The Open House will end National Fire Prevention Week, October 4-10. This year’s theme is
“Charge into Fire Safety™. Safe Charging Is a Superpower”
