Carbondale Police Press Release - Aggravated Battery / Unlawful Possession of a Weapon / Mob Action

CARBONDALE – On September 18, 2026, at 4:54 a.m., City of Carbondale Police Officers responded to the 400 block of South Illinois Avenue for a report of an injured person. Officers discovered the victim had been struck by the suspect with a large knife during a dispute with known acquaintances.  The victim was taken to the emergency room with serious but not life-threatening injuries. During the investigation, officers learned that the victim was attacked by three individuals as the result of an ongoing personal dispute.  As a result, three people were located and arrested:

Daveion Z. Roseman,22, of Carbondale, for Aggravated Battery, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Mob Action. 

Nadine B. Adams, 18, of Carbondale, for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Aggravated Assault, and Mob Action.

Anthony D. Fletcher, 19, of Carbondale, was arrested for Aggravated Battery and Mob Action.

Roseman, Adams, and Fletcher were incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail pending a detention hearing.  Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the police department at the numbers listed below.  The investigation is active and ongoing.
