CARBONDALE -

The City of Carbondale water office will be closed on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 2:30-5:00 PM for department wide training. In person payments and other services will not be available at this time.    

Payments can be made in one of the following ways listed below:    

Online Payment: Residents can pay utility bills at the City's official website. Online services provide a secure and convenient option for bill payment. https://www.explorecarbondale.com/411/Online-Bill-Pay    

Dropbox: A secure dropbox is available at Carbondale City Hall (200 S. Illinois Ave.) for residents to drop off their payments anytime, day or night.    

In Person: Upon re-opening on Friday, June 5, residents can pay utility bills in person at the Water Office located at Carbondale City Hall (200 S. Illinois Ave.) during regular business hours (Mon. - Fri. 8am-4:30pm).
