Carbondale Police Press Release Reckless Discharge of a Firearm

CARBONDALE –- On December 11, 2025, at 7:07 p.m. City of Carbondale Police Officers responded to the 700 block of West College Street for a report of shots fired. Officers arrived, but the suspect(s) had already left the area. Officers learned that after shots were fired, two black males were seen running east from the area. No one was reported to be injured, but a vehicle was damaged as a result of the bullet strikes.  Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the police department at the numbers listed below.  The investigation remains active and ongoing.
