Carbondale Police Press Release - Mob Action, Aggravated Battery, and Robbery

CARBONDALE – On October 6, 2025, at 5:55 p.m., City of Carbondale Police Officers responded to the 200 block of West Main Street for a report of an Aggravated Battery and Robbery.  Officers learned three suspects battered the victim and stole property belonging to the victim during a personal dispute in the 100 block of North Washington Street.  The victim was taken by ambulance to the emergency room for treatment of the non-life-threatening injuries sustained during the incident.  Officers located and arrested one of the suspects, identified as Marquis A. McNary, age 33, of Carbondale.  McNary was arrested for Mob Action, Aggravated Battery, and Robbery and incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail pending a detention hearing.
