Sewer Main Lining Project to Continue in Lakeland Hills Subdivision the week of Oct. 13

To our neighbors in Lakeland Hills Subdivision, including the area bounded by Larsue Ln., Glopen St., S. Giant City Rd., and Vercliff Dr.-
The City of Carbondale is pleased to announce that beginning the week of October 13, 2025 the sewer main lining project for your neighborhood is scheduled to continue. Previously, main lines were thoroughly cleaned, repaired, and permanently lined. Individual sewer service connections will be rehabilitated using permanent lateral liners to connect to the newly lined mains. The technology used does not require excavation.
The contractor that will be installing the service connection liners is Skuta Construction.
Steam and chemical odors are a normal part of this process. Residents need to make sure all plumbing P-traps are full by running water down any rarely used drains.
During the lateral lining process, there may be some service interruptions for short periods of time. The City and the contractor will strive to keep these at a minimum. Service outages are normally planned and occur between the hours of 9am and 5pm, but could be at other times due to unforeseen instances.
Door hangers will be placed on residences in this neighborhood to help ensure this information is received by all impacted.
