Carbondale Police Press Release - Criminal Trespass to Residence and Assault

CARBONDALE –  On September 2, 2025, at 5:25 p.m., City of Carbondale Police Officers responded to the 300 block of East Elm Street for a possible home invasion. Officers arrived and learned Laquisha L. Randolph, age 31 of Carbondale, and Dache L. Thomas-Kidd, age 20 of Carbondale, entered the victim’s residence during a personal dispute. While entering the residence, Randolph displayed a knife. The victim defended herself, which resulted in Thomas Kidd receiving a minor injury.

During the course of the investigation, officers arrested Randolph for Criminal Trespass to Residence and Assault and incarcerated her in the Jackson County Jail pending a detention hearing. The Jackson County Ambulance Service responded to the scene and treated Thomas-Kidd for her injury.  Thomas-Kidd was arrested for Criminal Trespass to Residence and released pending a court appearance.
