McPherson Alerts!
City admin offices closed Monday
Due to the weather and traffic emergency, the City of McPherson administration offices at the Municipal Center will be closed Monday, Jan. 6, 2025. In addition, City staff not essential to the storm’s cleanup or emergency personnel are being encouraged to work remotely.
Citizens are encouraged to remain at home Sunday evening and Monday while area roads are closed or impassable. Those needing to get in touch with someone at the Municipal Center on Monday for matters that can’t wait until Tuesday can either can find email addresses in the City Directory or can call 316-218-7763.
Late Sunday evening, Kansas emergency officials sent out an alert urging everyone to remain off all roads.
The McPherson Police Department will operate as normal Monday. However, administration staff is being encouraged to stay home, so citizens are asked to call the PD’s non-emergency line at 620-245-1200 rather than come by. For all emergencies, still dial 911.
The Emergency Accident Reporting Plan remains in effect.
In addition to the Municipal Center, the McPherson Convention & Visitors Bureau as well as the McPherson Community Building will be closed Monday.
