Potential Tropical Cyclone Six is likely to become a tropical storm today. By Wednesday, the system is expected to become a hurricane as it pushes into the northwestern Gulf of Mexico. You may have noticed that the forecast track and cone have shifted to the east, implying that the expected impacts are shifting east as well. While it is true that a Louisiana landfall is becoming more likely, it's worth noting that a track closer to the Texas Coast remains on the table. Thus, it would be wise to continue monitoring the situation very closely.
