Every family has conversations around the kitchen table about income, expenses, priorities, and how to make limited dollars go further. City of La Marque leadership faces many of the same decisions.

Join City leadership at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2026, in Council Chambers for a community conversation about La Marque's financial future. We'll review the City's revenues and expenses, discuss the proposed tax rate and the no-new-revenue tax rate, and explore what these options could mean for city services.

The discussion will also include alternative funding ideas, such as a potential public safety fee, and how the City's financial standing can influence homeowners' insurance rates and other long-term costs.

Most importantly, we want to hear from residents. This is an opportunity to share your ideas, ask questions, and help shape recommendations that will be presented to City Council as budget and tax rate decisions are considered.
